WORK FROM HOME EDITION
Dan Hartnack
Senior Account Representative,
Customer Support
Q What do you miss most about working in the office?
A I miss being around everyone. My co-workers have turned into great friends over the 8 years I’ve worked at SmartEquip. Being in the office together with everyone really helps the day go by more quickly, because I am doing what I love doing with my friends – they’re like family!
Q How do you keep yourself busy during quarantine on off-hours?
A Reading: "The Wise Man's Fear" which is the second book in the Kingkiller Chronicle by Patrick Rothfuss. It's like A Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones) but has more fantasy elements.
Listening to: the album "After the Party" by The Menzingers
Watching: my fiancée and I have been burning through Ozark and Better Call Saul.
Playing: I play a lot of video games. I am currently playing through Doom Eternal and Black Mesa.
Q What is the most unique or most beloved item in your WFH workspace?
A I have so many things hanging in my office that are all prized possessions of mine, but if I had to choose one it would be one of the many comics framed on my wall. The rarest one I have is issue #46 of The Amazing Spider-Man (first appearance of the Shocker from 1967) signed by the artist John Romita.
Q What social/ group activity do you miss most while in quarantine?
A Concerts. I had tickets to 3 shows so far that have been cancelled. I love live music and the atmosphere of the crowd.
Q What are you most looking forward to after quarantine?
A I'm looking forward to being able to meet up with friends and family again. I have been having some Zoom calls every few nights with my friends but it’s not the same as actually being in the same room. My parents live about 5 minutes away. I'll be visiting them first and the free food when I go over is also a big plus!
